Hayden Loxton is a powerful communicator. His first professional appointment saw him engaged by the Japanese Government as an English translator for matters of international relations. When he made the switch from translation to financial planning, once again his communication skills came to the fore.

Hayden really listens to his clients – a group made up of lawyers, medical professionals, accountants, SME business owners and retirees. From helping these individuals identify and articulate their financial goals, to cutting through complexities in a language that’s easily digested, Hayden is intent on ensuring his clients are heard and understood.

As the Principal Financial Adviser at Paragon Private Wealth, Hayden draws upon more than a two decades of experience in Adelaide, culminating in an offshore appointment navigating global financial markets.

After working at large financial planning institutions in Adelaide for 10 years, Hayden was then based based in Hong Kong for 2 years as a Senior Wealth Manager for individuals of high net worth located across the globe. His remit included negotiating high level investments – ranging from shares and bonds to currencies and commodities – whilst aiming to make efficient the cross border taxation implications incumbent upon them. The diversity of his clients, and their offshore interests, honed Hayden’s portfolio management technique to be flexible, responsive and importantly, accountable.

Offering individually tailored, fee for service advice, empowered Hayden to search and secure investment strategies and protections unencumbered by product or institutional allegiances.

Back on home soil, Hayden continues to create truly bespoke financial plans for the last decade running his own practice.

Further, Paragon Private Wealth clients receive additional and worthwhile insights into their own investor profile. With a special interest in Behavioural Investment Counselling, Hayden consults with clients in scenario-driven sessions to help them learn more about their investing instincts and approach to managing risks and returns. Aimed at increasing self-awareness as it relates to investment behaviour, he assists both new and long-term clients to gain greater insights into investment decision making and coaches them to avoid costly investment mistakes.

Hayden’s home-coming was a welcome one; familiarity with the landscape and the local community provides him with an enduring affinity for Adelaide. Raised in South Australia, Hayden previously enjoyed tenures with several leading financial planning organisations. He has worked with business owners, busy professionals and retirees, designing direct investment strategies, risk management packages, as well as retirement and estate plans designed to be compatible within their overall financial goals.

Today, as a business owner drawing upon more than a decade of financial planning experience, Hayden is committed to positioning Paragon Private Wealth as its namesake suggests – an exemplary model – offering client-centred service to industrious South Australians eager to protect and grow the wealth they have worked diligently to amass.

Personally…

Hayden’s meticulous and measured approach to his professional life also extends to his personal interests. Away from the office, he regularly exercises the disciplined practice of Martial Arts. His mental agility gets a regular work out too, thanks to his ongoing love of languages. He is fluent in Japanese.

Married with two children, Hayden is relishing raising his family in the town where he grew up – also home to his beloved Adelaide Football Club. Although Hayden admits that’s not always something worth crowing about!
